I thought I just read somewhere that there is a 3rd/4th gear switch on the tranny that is wired in series with the solenoid. Is that the switch on the top of the tranny? Does it even work that way?

I don't know all about this overdrive lark yet, but I will very soon. Then I can use phrases like "All the overdrives I've ever installed were like blah blah blah..." or like "I've never seen one of these go in smoothly..." /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Lionhead, if you go back for the drive shaft, get the rear tranny mount(the steel part bolted to the frame) as well, 4 bolts and it will save you having to find one. If you have a speed wrench it will take about 2 minutes.

You want the rear plate in the car, the one I already mentioned.

The transmission switches are stuck on the sides of the shifter assembly and are easily identified. Even more easily bypassed with a jumper wire directly to the solenoid.
