Went for a drive in Dallas....

It is 73 degrees here in DFW and bright and sunny. It is supposed to rain tonight, so I took the Sprite for a ride around the neighborhood accompanied by my dog. Got lots of waves from people out walking in the nice weather. Sure beats the spreadsheets I have been staring at all morning.

Merry Christmas to all!

Excellent !! I used to live in Irving (Valley Ranch) a couple years ago, this is a great time for Spridget driving in the DFW area for sure !

I just wish I had my Midget when I lived there... lots of roads to drive on around that area !, of course some of the summer temps there would be a little uncomfortable for top down driving, poor northern guy like me would just roast away in that sun !

The only thing I got to do with my Midget today was lift the car cover up, open the door & give the clutch a few pumps just to be sure it doesn't bypass some air over the winter :-(

Merry Christmas right back to ya !

Say high to my ex girlfriend and her 30 million dollars while you're around there.

Was out yesterday as well in the Dallas area. Was near 70 yesterday and now its 38 today. They say in Texas, If you don't like the weather, stick around because it can change in a couple of hours". The nice thing about having an old british car in the Dallas area is that you just don't see to many around. Your car here definately gets the attention.

We usedta say, "wait five minutes, it'll change".

Check and see if "Marks Rebuilders" is still out in Keller. He used to have some MG stuff but was mainly a VW guy. Can't remeber what road he was one, but Keller is small.

Dallas area weather update-it's snowing. No ride in the Bugeye today!

Yep, that's DFW. 50 degree shift in the weather in 24 hours! Maybe if there is a snowflake or two tomorrow AM, we can call it a white Christmas.

You poor people. We're in the rebuild/repair season here. Already hit 14 deg F. It did get upto the 40's a couple days ago with rain. It's winter and my wife loves it. She did tell me the other day "why did you take the engine out of the midget, we could be driving down town and having fun". Told her that the engine was so bad that I'm lucky it took it out for rebuild. I think I'm getting parts for the car this Christmas!
Merry Christmas!

Maddy:
Hope you get those parts. How the heck do you work on a car when it 14 degrees F outside. What the temperature in the garage? Merry Christmas.

I’ve got a supper-insulated room that is just mine. Too small for anything to drive into, 10x12? But I love to go in there to work on the engine. For the garage.. a space heater. Set it real close to what I’m working on.
Merry Christmas to you all!!!!!

Gotta love that Global Warming.......
