SWMBO's feet were not getting any better. Blisters that were healing too slowly for the next 700km. Then today she stepped backwards off a ledge avoiding a cyclist. Nothing broken or sprained but of course the bad foot. So, flying home Sunday. Gutted actually but I think I will be back.

Still, no matter the outcome, you've inspired a lot of us.
I didn't even know about Camino until you mentioned here.
Linda and I have talked about your trip. We're both older and less able for something this long, but we are looking at other possibilities. My sister is a dedicated hiker and she has been giving us advice about how to proceed.
 
I've started walking/jogging here. Never been one for running before, but I'm in need of some weight loss, and it sounded like it was time to try it. Your journey inspired it a little too.
I went out and got a really good pair of shoes. What a difference decent equipment makes! I'm not any better of a runner, but my feet are not on fire when I get home.
Here's Hoping SWMBO heals quickly. Give her our best wishes. Even cut short, that is an epic journey. My hat's off to you both.

You got farther than any of us have so Kudos to both you! As others have said, your adventure has been inspiring and it's rather cool to actually "know" someone who has done at least a portion of this endevour. Thank you very much for including us here at the BCF. :laugh:
