Picked up the rental car, plugged in my GPS and headed to my sisters house.

While coming off the highway on a circular ramp we hear a "Beep. We all say at once "what was that?".
Didn't hear it again so it didn't slow me down.
Down the road we hear it again. Now I have never driven a Dodge Charger before so I was completely baffled.
Now I must say it was about 11 PM when all this was happening.
So continue down the road and all of a sudden it starts beeping like crazy. We're all looking for the sound and I am not paying attention to the road really when"FLASH" and then an audible curse word from me.

Note to Garmin GPS
When you include a warning for the speed cameras.
PLEASE PUT A NOTICE ON THE BOX!!!!

Ouch! :eeek:

Already deemed unconstitutional in MS. Denies due process. You can beat it.

Been tried umpteen time in Md .
Never worked.
And for $40 bucks, ain't worth my time.
Now if it was in Wa, $128 .Different story

Got a red light camera ticket mailed to me from New Orleans. Said I turned right on red without stopping from St. Charles onto Washington. They said it would not be considered a moving violation and the ticket was $135.00. Court cost to fight it, even if I were to win, was $135.00. Online photos of the "crime" were favorable to me but the online video would strangely not work. My son the lawyer said just pay the ticket.

Unfortunately, that's one way they garner income for the city. They know that unless you have deep pockets and can afford to pay for your principles, that you will take the pragmatic approach and just pay it, whether or not you were guilty. Game, set and match! :frown:

Hey bill, ask lawyer son about that. How can we be charged for court when we are guarenteed a fair and speedy trial by law. The court system is set up by the government that is paid with tax dollars. How come we are expected to pay for something that should be free? I never did understand that. And if you win you have to pay? That doesn;t make any sense. They should pay you. I hate N.O for these very reasons. if it isn't the most corruot city in America, I don't know what is.

Don, I'm with ya, $40 is a no brainer.

I read that in Maryland it's $200 - $250 to fight a ticket-
non-refundable wether you win or loose.

Could be Doug,
My main concern is the 30 admin fee the 3rd party puts on.
My brother was able to fight that

It's been about 6 years since I got a red light ticket, and know it wasn't anywhere near that expensive then. I think our construction zone tickets are $125 and they are a "moving" speed violation.

I know those ones on 95 on the the way to BWI.
Lots of comments n Google about them
Went past them one early morning and I thought the paparazzis where there

I got 2 (unintentional - not trying to run) Red light
tickets.Cost me over $1,000 total.

I can think of one

Chicago?

I dunno. First 50 guys in N.O in 1803, 25 were convicts straight out of prison. First 50 chics were prositutes....and that's a fact!
