Well that was exciting!

Worse design than that - Corvair rear motor mount. Engine is suspended and hangs on one bolt. Bolt breaks or nut comes off and BANG - motor falls onto road and car comes to a halt. Happened to me once and my bro in law once. On mine, it was on Rte 22 near Amenia, NY. Walked to a gas station, mechanic drove me back, jacked up the motor, wrapped some bailing wire around the joint and I was good to go.
