Now this if fun...I have the water turned off out at the street, but when someone needs to "go" I have to go out and turn it on so they can flush, then turn it back off again! Weee!!!

I dunno, but why do we drive on a parkway and park in a drive way? Or why are they called "apart" ments when they're all stuck together? Hmmmmm.

I have to go to Home Depot and buy every piece of hardware necessary to repair the a toilet leak. It takes me an hour to do the job that should be twenty minutes- including throwing away the old parts. I've often thought there should be a law against amatueres (sp?) doing home plumbing. T.T.

The word derives from the Latin word for lead
which I think is plomo (Spanish it's plomo.)

A plumber is Spain is a plomero.

Lead was also used in most cathedral roofs.
The roofers got bent out shape when folks called
them plumbers so they split out of the guild and
took on the professional name "tinsters".

It's just a young man using a jack-hammer (and he is smart to be wearing proper eye protection).

Houston, we have pipe! Ok, about 4 ft down I finally got to the pipe and have located the leak. Now the fun begins!

You folks use plastic supply pipes?

(Maybe it's our cold water grounding requirement...We don't use grounding rods)

I generally dislike ~any~ kind of "house" work. I can sweat copper, glue up PVC, wire up 110, 220, blah, blah... I'm about burned out on it. Once this place is squared up I never wanna mess wifit again. The copper is all in th' slab here, I just ~KNOW~ it won't be long 'til I'm runnin' PVC overhead thru th' whole place due to some kinda leak...

I do ~NOT~ envy ya Basil.
