The 90 stuck sometimes, but not consistently.

I think it would have been better if I'd cleaned the whole thing with acetone first, but of course hindsight is 20:20.
I ended up finishing it off with JB Weld.
Now ~that~ worked!

Spray 90 or 77 WON'T work on Foam you need their foam spray and that works GREAT

Both worked fine on my Spit seats. :whistle:

Yea, as long as the foam is encased in the seats. The foam on the dash support is a different type of foam.

I (respectfully) beg to differ. I recovered the same dash part with the same glue and it worked just fine. 3M products rock. Perhaps your surface prep was the issue?
 
I use about 50 to 75 cans of this stuff a year. @ $13.00 a can I am careful of how I use it and my rep. depends on it. Check the 3M site they don't recommend it . It take a while for the stuff to full crystallize and loose it adhesive power. My conclusion is air getting to it and not enough surface area for soft foams.

Well, I've used two or three cans in 5 years and it's held up just fine. Cloth/Foam/Rubber/Cat fur/Whatever.
