Cool, do we get a discount on a subscription? Or does it help the forum if I buy one? Where's the link?

Well, it would certainly help if you visit their site via the banner at the top of the page when it comes up (each vendor gets a report each week telling them how many times their ad has been seen and clicked on). But, unlike the affiliate ads that are on the upper right part of the forum pages, the top banners are purchased by the vendors at a flat fee. (The affiliate vendors don't pay a flat fee, but we get a small percentage of sales made via the forum links)

However, obviously the more people who subscribe and tell them they saw their ad here, the better it is in the long run since it shows that their ads are being effective here (thus maybe a vendor will continue to support the forum). I get CMS and can tell you it really is a great read. While its not 100 percent British autos, there is usually a good deal of British car-related articles each month (and tons of British-car related vendors who advertise in the magazine).

I have the first issue i think (MGB best sports car ever?) magazine sitting in the bathroom... Makes for a great morning read... Over and over and over... LOL! I'll be looking for the banner ad - the one I tend to see most is Gold Coast Rovers.

I just linked through the banner and bought my first subscription with them... On the ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS window, I said:
"Heard about your magazine on Britishcarforum.com! Great site, I'm glad Basil sent me here!"

Hope it helps!

They don't ask the question... It was like a comment box on the order form that I wrote that in!

Oh, ok, well thanks! (And if any others subscribe as a result of seeing their ad here, please do make similar comment.

Cheers,
Basil

Basil,

Check out this months Issue of CM. They gave my wife a good mention in their article on our (North West Alabama SC Club) show for the entertainment (Jazz Singer. Gotta watch Burt Levy!

Karens' CD is easy to find, go to CDbaby.com and type in Karen Gruber for artist or Karens' Website is www.karengruber.com. You can listen there and order a CD as well. Karen describes it as "Not get up and go music but lay down stay" Music.

Thanks

Great sounds from a very pretty lady!!! I'm a Diana Krall fan who's found a new jazz artist to appreciate. I can see (hear) why Burt gave her the mention. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif

Hmmm, might have to get that one too... Is that in a banner ad?

Hmmm might have to go see a show some night. I'm in Tuscaloosa. I dated a girl in Florence several years ago... got expensive driving up there every weekend.

When I didn't get a notice, I called them & they said I had 1 more month to go before they'd send a notice as my first issue was free....so, even though I subscribed to both GRM & CM at the same time, GRM came due a month before CM - go figure!

Outstanding! I had never paid much attention to Jazz until I heard a Dianna Krall CD a friend had. Karen has a very soothing voice!
