Weird Weather This Fall

In other (related News) I have watching a Youtube channel called Oak Swamp. The guy builds interesting cars. I am watching the 'Rat' an Austin 10.

The host also plays standup bass in what I can only call punk bluegrass bands. These become his background music - I find it interesting but don't love it so am torn as to whether to have the sound off to avoid the music but also the narrative or to have it on and ... (First world problems)

Well, winter has finally got to me here in the California high desert. Our trees have been dropping leaves for the last 4-5 days. This morning about 3:45 I was woken up by the rain hammering my roof and howling wind. Oddly enough, it is still pretty warm. 56deg. at almost 8am. Looks like a pretty serious rain storm, but snow levels are way up about 7000ft elevation in the mountains. Again, strange weather this year. ...J.D.

Round 60 here in southern Ohio, supposed to be that way, and maybe as warm as mid 60s through the weekend, then back to more seasonable 20 and 30s next week. Weird to step out for Christmas in shirtsleeves here.

It was 80 yesterday, not only was I in short sleeves I put the top down.

WOW ! THAT storm was no joke ! I guess there are roads flooded out all over town. I stayed inside, and the TR stayed tucked in my workshop, top still down and its tonneau zipped up tight. Dry and cold this morning. I'll let the water go down before I take the crew cab out for a look around. ...J.D.

We are drying out but, things are bad out here in the desert. I counted 20 road closures listed within the city limits, and a lot more in the surrounding area. The nearby town of Wrightwood, Ca. is wiped out. Power is out for much of that mountain community and there is mud FEET deep all over town. The picture below was taken here in town [Hesperia, Ca.] Fun and games. I stayed inside myself. ...J.D.
