If it was foreign it would have been dealt with by now. My opinion.
 
I expect at some point there will be details released, with the net and video and such they just can't not say something eventually. Who knows, organized plot or just a bunch of copycat dummies who should have better things to do with their time. We'll see.
 
I would not want to be a pilot flying over those areas right now. There are jut too many idiots out there that might try to get their 15 minutes of fame by shooting something down.
 
If they flew them over Oklahoma we would have already shot them down first before reporting them.
 
Something that puzzles me about the reports. The videos often show the lights on these things - but that doesn't tell you how big they are.

So how can so many reports say "Big as an SUV!"

Fair question. Probably hard to estimate the size of something unless it is relatively close and there is something nearby for size reference.
 
An area politico has said that it is the U.S. looking for a radioactive pin that has been lost. NRC has confirmed a lost germanium calibration pin.

I guess my question in all this is, are the drone people actually breaking any laws (the idiots who got busted flying one near an airport being an obvious case of yes)? I don't know what the laws are since I never owned one, but before the authorities can "do something" about it, doesn't an actual law have to be broken?
