Weird paint question

Morris

I want to have my current paint scanned so that I can have a matching color mixed up. It seems like the smallest detachable part I can bring into the store is the boot lid. Can anyone think of another, easy to remove part I can snag?

Is there something on the slam panel that you can remove? Latch? Bracket?

If you are wanting it to match the existing paint then it needs to come from the exterior. Boot lid sounds good then.

Should probably be cleaned and de-oxidized first.

Ed, I was trying to say that if he was only going to paint a fender or door and wanted it to match the existing paint without painting the whole car.

I didn't explain myself very well.

The panel that the bonnet "slams shut on" that holds the latches.

That looks welded in place. How would I go about removing it?

Not the whole panel, but a bracket or part that is attached to it that is also painted.
