Well the TR8 pulled me through another fast road touring event, with a couple heart fluttering moments, but pulled me through none the less.

Some quick pictures;

Looks like it was a good day for a drive.

Love the Datsun Roadster. I had a '69 2000 - fun car!

That Datsun was a great car, driver was super cool as well. Everyone was actually. There were three variants of the 510's there as well (orange cars above), super neat and quickly. The orange one on the back right is actually a super rare Bluebird, one of 29 in the country.

Tom, what route did you follow? Some of those pics look kinda like highway 25. There's a decent looking TR8 for sale in Pinole. If I didn't have so many bills to pay, I would really be tempted to find a way to purchase it. I'm tempted even so. My marriage has been going way too smoothly lately anyway...need to shake things up a bit!

We did a bunch road work around 33 in Ojai and 166 running through New Cuyama and Cuyama. Just about the most fun clothed I've ever had. On Monday (2nd day) we back tracked on these to the San Gabriel Mountains, north of Los Angeles.

These roads are sports car heaven - and shockingly close to LA.

Well that would do it! The sound of the alloy V8 at 4500 in second gear as the rear of the car pivots around an up hill 90-degree linked turn will be worth it. (closed road)

Hey Tom, from the looks of that antenna, you guys were flyin low!!! LOL.

Yes sir. That is a function of the sheer thrust of a happy Rover 4.0 liter (yes, not 3.5) V8. Yep - all due to speed. Well, that, or maybe a car cover being improperly installed one night after I'd had a couple of beers at home...

Funny thing is that people really dig how the antenna looks. I get more comments on it that you can imagine. Due to that, and that is distracts people away from how crappy the rest of the car also looks, have come to like it so I've left it that way.
