My grandson, Noah, recently drove up with his parents from San Antonio to Kerrville because he wanted to practice driving a stick. We spent hours together on the backroads and we both loved it. It was a weekend to remember.

Great photos! and a wonderful opportunity to share family time, and make some great memories.

Nice! My first drive was in Dad's 1960 Karmann Ghia, in '64. Loved that car!

I tried teaching my daughter to drive stick on my TR6. At the first stop sign closest to our house she was done and said it was not for her.
I’m glad you and your grandson had a great time. You will both never forget it.

Nice job gatheringtree, I hope thats tar in the last photo and not an oil slick,
Nah - that's where Noah peeled out!

The sad part about today's world is that most kids have
zero interest in riding/driving an old British car, plus you have
to be very careful about taking someone's child out alone in your car.
It's really sad that you even have to consider that.
A few years ago we had numerous Nieces/Nephews come to my
Mother's house, where I hade our TR6 stored.I pulled the car out of the garage
and asked "Who wants to go for a ride?".I got NO response.

That is sad Doug. I have a granddaughter who wants herself's VW and she hasn't seen the Sprite yet. I think my daughter (her mother) wants the Prefect.

I bought a second TR6 and started to restore it to give to my son and or daughter. Neither one wanted it so I sold it.
