Website configurations suck

So I've spent the day - like the last 11 hours - fiddling with a website I sorta look after. Been migrating it to another CMS.

I managed to port 000's of lines of posts, all the user configurations and a whole host of other stuff with about 40 (if I do say so myself - well-written) SQL commands. Figuring out what I needed to port and writing the SQL took about 10 hours total. Worked great on my localhost...

I then had a problem live where the login to a bridged part of the site worked the first time but then didn't for any subsequent attempts.

8 hours of intensive debugging later I found that the presence of a '/' on the end of one of the entries in one of the (5) config files that this thing needs fixes it. AARGH :madder:

Websites suck.
Pass the beernuts.

Oh and the shed'll be open when I get back from the fridge...

gah. Frustration.

That, in a nutshell is both why I ran screaming from learning code and why I should have stuck to it.

It's kinda funny: the localhost link in your post is "hot" and links to my Apache local index page...
