my dgv upgrade kit finally came in the mail and is installed on my 69 midget. i was able to tune the idle so that it's smooth, but when the rpms get up to about 2k, there's a lot of hesitation and stumbling.

my guess is i'm running too rich. but where do i adjust this on my carb? my weber didn't come with a manual or diagram pointing out where the rest of the adjustments are other than the idle mixture and idle speed screws.

well, i know i read it in haynes at least several times before i believed it, but i guess they really do mean it when they say "blame the ignition system before blaming the carb".

it turns out after sanding down the points and tightening up the condenser, she idles much much smoother and the hesitation has all but completely disappeared :smile:

i suspect i'll still need a smaller idle jet, but the car is definately driveable now.
