As best I can tell (still no garage lights) the heater hose is on the left side because that is where the radiator hose lives and also to keep it away from the distributor.

My heater hose routing was along side the valve cover and loose. here's a "before" shot:

I made two brackets out of thin strap steel, attached at the second and fourth manifold studs. The "after":

Please pardon the rusty exhaust manifold... have a "spare" being ceramic coated. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
 
How come my engine bay looks so cruddy and everyone else has their's looking so nice and clean?

yep, before and after is a bear. Gives us all something to work towards.
 
I installed a weber downdraft in my 73B. There can't be that much difference between a 73 and a 75?

Thanks for that link - it looks great. Anyone have clearance issues between the top of the air filter and the underside of the hood?
 
Final question (I think). The heater hose that used to run along the valve cover has a t-fitting in it that is currently blocked off - does this connect to the small riser right behind the valve cover (also currently blocked)?
