Weather reports/photos around BCF-land?

Still haven't seen a city plow truck; spent 4 hours with a shovel and gently carving a track and got the 4-runner out. Main roads just a single sloppy lane each way so nowhere to park if you can get there. Due for 8-12 inches more tomorrow afternoon-Wednesday morning. If that happens, this will be the most snow in a season since they started keeping records in the late 1800's.

Got most of the drive way between the barn and the house cleared today...until the drive mechanism on the snowblower decided to go on hiatus.

And...another 4" to 7" of white crap forecast for tonight/tomorrow.

:frown:

...Went skiing today, was just fantastic, about 3" last night.

Bite yer digital tongue, Scott! It's waaay too cold.

Never too cold. Put the top down and went for an hour drive west of here. Was just nudging 60.

Well, it is 31F outside, 25+ inches outside. My plow guy is running waaayyyy behind. It took until today to get my Audi Quattro (really good 4wd!)out of the alley in DC to see what it looked like here at the shop. Main roads in DC and Md go from fine to barely passable. Minor roads look like they have not seen a plow. I just read that 25% of DCs plows are unserviceable.... Great. 20 inches coming tonight and tomorrow I can hardly wait. If I don't get plowed today, I may not get plowed at all.My parking lot slopes down, away from the street, and anymore snow and the plow truck won't be able to push it uphill. I like snow just fine, but come on now...

Hey Jesse!!

You should have taken me up on my offer to fly
you down here for a week and tinker with my Six.
Beautiful today, sunny and warm- bikini babes on
the beach.

Yeah, you are right about that. Maybe I could find a shop there..... Gotta have dreams right?

Why? In a few weeks spring will be there. Driving around MD, PA, and VA gives you some of the best scenery in the world.

Gah. Nothin' beats a warm sandy beach and a flat horizon of saltwater! :jester:

I dunno.... A blast around my favorite roads out in the Shenandoah valley is hard to beat. Still, just a couple of hours to the beach as well. It is why I stay around here. Even so, I have had enough of the snow for right this moment.

Yup it's a nuisance but the snow doesn't last that long, and this season has been exceptional.

May I second the motion?
