One of my first things would be the terrible windscreen wipers. Even MG had better wipers. Thank G_D for Rain-X.

I know this is a small thing but it always bugged me...having owned 2 TR6's (and a TR2 and 3), the wipers always sucked.

Anyone else?
 
A proper gentleman does not motor about after dark ~or in the rain...

The Squeegees-on-a-stick my Jeep CJ5 had were pretty much worthless too.
 
The MG ones are anemic, agreed. Found Rain-X very early, MG Mitten IIRC.
But about every LBC built before 1970 had the affliction.

You'd think the engineers in a country as wet as England would have had that bit down pat as soon as windscreens came into being.

Aint nothing like your old one. You won't be afraid to drive this one and it get hurt....but you might not want to be seen in it.
 
Uh, thanks, but no thanks. I am looking for an unmolested original which I would like to restore to original specs. Have one on the radar. They are out there. Would love to catch Paretti in a weak moment.....
