Something I've been meaning to do for a while and finally did. By completing the AARP Driver's Safety Course (self and SWMBO) we will safe about $42 per 6 months on our car insurance. The first 6 mos savings will pay for the course. Anyone else here taken this course?

One of our members ran the hands on class for a number of years it is a value add class. I think we some times drive with what we thought we knew about driving and changing laws. How did you find the class ?? Madflyer

How did you find the class ?
A friend of mine who also has USAA insurance mentioned it to me quite some time ago. It's something I've been meaning to do for a while but always seemed to find some excuse to not get to it until now.

In Canada, once you are over 80 every three years you have to do a screening - vision test/ mental fitness test to renew your license. Last time my mother got cocky and failed the mental fitness test so had to re-do the driving test. We STRONGLY suggested that she take one driving lesson in advance. Protesting, she did. She came away genuinely appreciative for the new information and awareness of changes and of course breezed through her test.

This was a good course, and I did actually learn some new information, but about half of the content was reminding me that I'm getting old and about recognizing when it's time to hand in my keys! LOL!
