SO my TR2 has been horribly neglected for a good while now because of the business of the summer and my total lack of any funding , but last night I decided that it was time. I cut the final stubborn bolt, welded braces into the door openings, attached some cargo straps and used my engine crane to lift the body off the frame.
I have the rear end parts (bushings, seals and such) and now I can do a bunch of cleaning and painting until I have to buy all the front end parts.
Pics soon.
At least it's some progress!!!

Way to go Ben!!!!!

Good on ya Mate!

It took me about 6 - 8 months to accumulate the front
end parts war chest. You'll get them in good time.

Heck, you'll have more miles on that TR2 in a week
than I manage to get in a year.

Post some photos- I have never seen a TR2

best wishes,

dale

Cheers!!! One large step forward. We all love to hear that. Keep us posted and send lots of pics.

Basically looks like a TR3 sucking a lemon all the way around the grill inlet(not like an Edsel)smaller opening, with a larger(longer) posterior.

That's one small step for Banjo, and one giant leap for Moss(or whomever your ordering parts from).

"At least it's some progress!" is an understatement worthy of at least three exclamation points!!! I'm so jealous, but I know that someday my frame and body will be separated too.

TRF just had a sale on their front magic kit and I got one, though I know it will be some time before I can use it. Aside from a few other things, it lacks time and magic.
