We Bought a New Refidgerator!

I've used "appliance" "people movers" and "econobox"
"Refrigerator" or "toaster" was kept aside for vehicles that resembled them. I.E Scion XB, Honda Element, etc...

Ummmm....so, what's wrong with boring? Lots of times boring beats exciting, hands down. I can think of lots of exciting experiences where I'd really, really rather have been bored. It's the exciting things you have to watch out for.

I suppose I should be expected to say this. My only non-boring car is the LBC. Just bought an 87 Volvo today for my son, his first car. Boring, yes, but safe. For him, excitement equates exactly with trouble.

Transportation Appliance is the term I use.

I love my (definitely boring) Hyundai. Gets me where I need to go, with no worries. No one will ever steal it, and it's fine left outside in the driveway all year round -- makes space in the garage for the Tunebug,

I had to put a wheel bearing in the 1986 Toyota Creesida a few weeks ago. Thats the second one in just 377,000 Km.
Whats this rubbish about jap cars being reliable? I have spent over $250 in parts on this thing, in just 21 years. Thats over $18 a year.

When it comes to transport, to me, boring is beautiful. Its now in semiretirement, only used to tow things, or when its too wet to want to take one of the TRs, but you know, there are times when its good to be anonymious, & invisible.
