Waz Happnin' this weekend?

It's March Madness!!!! I'm going to watch so much basketball in the next two weeks its ridiculous!
I think I'll drive the Midget to liquor store for beer runs and the all will be right with the world.

Tonight was dinner at Louies. Mediterranian pizza, and some fancy Coffee for dessert. MMMMMMMM. Tomorrow the fun starts.
For some reason the BMW has thrown a fit and dosen't want to start. So I gotta get up early, run into work (car died at work) and try and diag the problem, then I gotta run down to the vintage shop and actually get to work. Got the new front hub for the TR3 so that can go back togeather, found my throwout bearing tool for the TR6 so the tranny can go back in, and got carbs on an AH 3000 to get freed up so it can get started up soon.
Plenty to do...

Have a morning meeting with my tax man (ugh!) and a couple of kiddie (~5 yr olds) birthday parties to go to from my youngest daughter's class room.

Sunday stayin in doors - because we're expecting rain and lots of it. They’re even calling for sleet & hail and a possible blizzard in the mountains down to the 3500-4000 foot level just above us.

Think I'm just going to take it easy - stay in my sweats, make a couple pots of coffee and use up the last of the fire wood & keep a fire going all day.

Going to be going over the 73B this weekend now that its out of winter storage and I may have to take it for a spin if it gets above freezing.

F1 opener in OZ!!!!
Yeah, and although this season looks to be one of the most exciting seasons ever, I'm not getting up (or staying up) at 0230 to watch it. I can't beleive F1 had the nerve to make them change the start time to accomodate European viewers...Grrr.
I have some serious cleaning to do. I've been locked in my office for 2 weeks doing my taxes, now that I'm done, I can't see the carpet, the fish tank, desk, and there may even still be a cat in here.

Open Cockpit Day at New England Air Museum!

Gazillions of visitors climb into the cockpits of 12 vintage aircraft, a full-motion flight simulator and two static flight simulators.

Open cockpits include the Vought Corsair of WW2, the North American F-100 Super Sabre, a DC-3 airliner, several helicopters and more.

tinster, just sitting round waiting for a call to go up to stratford ct. to finally do a dyno run on my rebuilt healey engine didnt want to just run up there in case i forgot to give them something they need for the run. :savewave:

Re: Waz Happening' this weekend?

Just got home - pulled out at 8am this morning...just got the car covered until I take it to my bodyman Monday to assess the 'damage' the other body shop did over the past few years while they had it (& I can't really see any improvements!).

Re: Waz Happening' this weekend?

Cold and raining, with possible snow flurries tomorrow. I'll rebuild some spare TR6 fuel pumps tomorrow then get my parts ready for engine swap coming up next week.

Re: Waz Happening' this weekend?

Got the compressor and the mig wired up to 230. Need a couple of adapters to get the compressor hooked up to the regulator, so it's off to HD tomorrow. If it's not disgusting, I think I'll take the 6, otherwise it's the LR...

You're killing me Tom. Hey, if there's one that's kinda
tall, could be me. Occurs to me maybe I'll donate to science.

Well, one of the things I did this weekend was set up an electrolysis tub and started on and old, very crusty-rusty BE MC box and pedal assembly! The results have been truly amazing!!! Got the box and pedals done and, with a coat of paint, they look brand new!! Why did it take me this long?? Now I've got a pile of parts to do...the old battery charger is gonna be workin' overtime!!

Geez, I'm a slacker. Had scheduled some diagnostics/repair on a friend's Ford lump but they cancelled. So I just basically piddled away the weekend doin' dumb stuff. Got th' litter boxes changed. 'xcitin' life here onna Gulf coast. :smirk:

Bill, I hope the text isn't too small to read:
(You can do a search and find lots of info! I used a 5gal pail, 1 tbsp. baking soda per gal. a length of threaded steel rod as an electrode and a battery charger!! Then time and electricity do their thing!) Important factors. Neg. to part, pos. to electrode. Wear rubber gloves, the mix is caustic! Rinse parts off after a 2-5 hour dip, using a brush, dry and paint!

Hey Mike,
We need to get you into electro plating. Same deal, but the anode is opposite. I've done a fair amount of nickel plating, got a "chrome" kit sittin’ ina garage that I haven't tried yet. Here's a nickel plate.
