Here's what I use on the "B". No streaks or white residue left behind, but with new stuff coming out every day and I hate the job, I'm always looking for an easier way out!

I use the same wax, among many other products. One advantage of NXT Tech Wax is that it diffuses light, which hides imperfections in less than perfect paint. There are better waxes out there for perfect finishes but I don't often own cars with perfect finishes.

NXT has been good. It's pretty easy to use, lasts a long time and looks good. If I don't want to do a full blown detail I use it.

On the Miata I'm using different Meguiars products to prep/polish if it needs it, with a final polish using Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish (again, if it needs it). Next I use Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant - the gloss and look are phenomenal with this stuff. No streaks, no nothing; easy on, easy off, and water is scared of it. It works as a twice-a-year finish. As a final wax I've been using Mothers Carnauba or Pinnacle Souveran paste.

Sounds like a lot but the Wolfgang DGPS just needs a light wipe-on, dry for 20-30 minutes, then wipe off. Pinnacle Souveran wipes on and off without drying and the whole car is done in 10 minutes.

The MGB is similar. I had been using Meguiars #20 topped with Pinnacle Souveran, then switched to NXT topped with Souveran. Next time I'll probably use Wolfgang DGPS topped with Pinnacle Souveran.

I use "One Grand" carnauba wax. High carnauba content, really good wax and easy to apply and remove.

Good stuff. They also sell a vinyl and rubber protectant that's excellent, I use it on everything. Doesn't leave a shiny sheen, also has UV protection.

Since my car was painted (about two years ago) the only thing I have used is Meguiars Final Inspection. It has never been washed, just lightly dusted with a soft cloth and then the Final Inspection is sprayed on and wiped off.
It comes out wonderful!

Honestly, I just use plain old Turtle Wax, or sometimes Meguiar's. However, I am less concerned about a show quality shine than I am about wax lasting without having to be reapplied all the time. I've discovered that most of the fancy waxes are (what I consider to be) high maintenance and don't last very long under regular, everyday use.

This stuff isn't really a wax, but it last a long time and looks good. Best part is that dirt doesn't seem to stick to the finish making it easy to clean the car.

"Klasse" from Germany; it's an acrylic sealant glaze.

I've used Klasse (both of them) on the airplane and the Miata a couple of times. Wolfgang DGPS is easier to put on and take off, sheds water as well as (probably better) as Klasse. I'm not sure it lasts quite as long but it's a toss-up.

Anyhow, here's the Miata from this morning. I went over it with that Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant with Pinnacle Souveran paste Carnauba as a topping about 3 weeks and two washes ago (I washed it yesterday). I've used all kinds of stuff on it over the years. It's 7 years old and has never been garaged, but I have a Weathershield cover I keep on it about half the time:

Washed the MG yesterday, then did a thin coat of Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant this evening. Doesn't look as drippy wet as Paul's, but it works pretty well.

I love that car - from the first time I saw it - I think at Mead gardens

that was before I even had a car so and when we still lived in the area. love the color matched bumpers

Spring is here and alot of us are waxing and shining.I just discoverd something.
To get wax and cleaning residue out of cracks and crannys get a bamboo grilling stick It works great its stiff enough to poke stuff out but soft enough to not scratch the paint! better than a toothpick to hold on to and I use a pencil sharpener to dress it ! Try it really works!
