Watkins Glen-Knapp Vineyard Roadster Tour

Hi Legal,

I go to the Vintage Grand Prix Festival at Watkins Glen every year. The Knapp Vineyard Roadster Tour is just one of the many events in the Town on that Friday before the Grand Prix. I have met some Healeyites from the BCF there before. Take the Healey, and wear yourself a BCF tee shirt from this site and you will have alot of friends and a Great time.

On the site it says it is for two-seater cars only. That would seem to leave your four-seater BJ8 out unless they don't count jump seats as real seats (which of course they are not!)

Wanna borrow my BN7? (We'll have to take the hardtop off to qualify.)

Hi Legal,

Book a room at their sister vineyard Glenora Winery. We're Cooper's Guild Members there and they have a fabulous Riesling as well as other wines. The Inn is wonderful.

Glenora Wine Cellars

And of course, get the Healey done and take it.

I don't think they count the BJ8 as a four seater, but I have a friend in high places.

Just let the tonneau cover the "back seat"...

If it were me I would heck it out before making the trip--they do specifically say two-seaters and no matter how impossible it might be for adult bipeds to use those rear jumpers the car is a four-seater, plus the fact that Healey specifically made and labelled their cars according to the number of seats.

Just another reason to get a two seater....

My wife and I have done the Knapp tour twice with our BJ7. They want cars with no tops. Your BJ8 will be OK, and there will be a bunch of other Healeys. We go to the W Glen Vintage weekend just about every year. Look for a BRG Healey along with a (cough, cough) BRG MGC in the Budget Inn parking lot. Stop by and say hello if you see a gang enjoying themselves up on the porch.

I was wondering if anyone here attends the Knapp Vineyard Roadster Tour in Watkins Glen. This year it will be held on September 10. I'm trying to decide if I should take the Healey (god, I hope it is ready by then) or the S2000.

I'm there every year. There are a number of "tours" and it seems like the list is getting longer every year. The tours are a great way to spend some time with like minded folks and drive with others through some of the most beautiful countryside in the U.S.

BJ8's are fine, I've had mine in that very tour.

Take the Healey!!!
