Water trapped somewhere.....Sonoma

Ok, so I washed the Sonoma last weekend and it's been sitting in the driveway since. This morning I get in to run some errands....When accelerating or takign a sharp corner you can hear water slushing around somewhere....sounds likes it's coming from infront of me....so either in the dash or wiper cowl area. Could a drainage hole be plugged somewhere? please tell me this isn't heater core related /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif (BTW: I just tried the heater and it works great!)Anywhere else this water might be hiding?

Had the same problem - lift your floor mat & see if the carpet under it is wet...then, if it is, take the cowl off the front & spray water to see where its going (mine was going down inside the driver side footwell behind the kick panel).

Well least it's not the heater core....I'll check the carpets tomorrow, I think the cowl on mine is different than yours? Mines like a plastic cover with some vents across it....I thought one of those vents might be leaking.

When you had your leak could you actually hear the water in there?

My cowl is metal with some vents across it....never listened to hear it running - I always found it after a rain & finally took everything out & watched while Jerri sprayed water.

Ok, I'll check the carpets first thing.......Do you think it might be low on coolant and it's sloshing around, in the heater core maybe? When I got it the resovoir was down, so I filled it and have been keeping an eye on the level in the resovoir(hasn't move at all), but I never actually open the rad cap to check it....I guess if my rad cap is bad it could be low and I'd never tell by looking at the resovoir.
Temp is always fine though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

Go underneath and check the drain for the A/C. (rubber hose somewhere on the lower part of the firewall) It may be plugged. run a wire up in there to check. May also be one of the drains on the side of the cowel.
Good luck

Thanks Banjo....Your always a great help.
