Water Spout

Same here....no picture.

Looks like one of the SSBN's has performed a test launch......

My wife and I saw two water spouts at the same time many years ago when we were in Key West; an awesome sight.

Wow, that is an amazing thing to have witnessed.

It really does look terrifying. Wonder what it sounded like.

Rarely last long enuff to make landfall.... but if you're in a boat, welll....

Setting up for a wedding gig, I saw one coming across Chesapeake Bay towards Kent Island -- a lot smaller than that one, F0...maybe even F1. However, I remember the sound -- like a train, just like everyone said it would be. Also there was a flock of seagulls caught up in the wind field. Looked like a bunch of confetti. I had to take cover as it was headed our way. I ended up helping the venue escort guests to a safe area.

Holy Mackerel! Don, did you take that photo? That is quite impressive, as mother nature usually is. It would be almost impossible to imagine the destructive force involved in that. Hope it didn't make land fall. PJ

There was one of these in my hometown of Anchorage, Alaska the other day. Very unusual for there...
