Water Pump [not broken this time]

This is a pretty straight forward question. I don't have access to any Saab parts manuals but, are the water pumps from a Saab 99 the same as those from the TR7?
 
YES,the saab 99 pumps will work, but they are only six vane impeller. you will have to replace the six to the twelve vane impeller or either get 6 vane water pump cover which is has additional coolant connection to the intake manifold points.

before you install waterpump i'll send you a copy of the British Leyland Technical Bulletin on how to install it when it's a little hard to go in.
 
just noticed after i posted the other message. you have an early tr7 (75-77 1/2 tr7 s/b six vane pump), so it should be an direct install unless the previous owner installed late model waterpump (77 1/2 -81 tr7 s/b twelve vane pump)
