Even though I'm a cell-phone-time guy now, I do have a few pocket watches that I quite like. My favorite is one that came from my grandmother's second husband and long time friend of the family. It was his MG TD that got me interested in LBCs way back when.

He was meticulous, fussy even, with his possessions. The benefit is that I not only have the watch, but the chain, knife, case, and guarantee paper that came with it. The watch still works too, though I haven't used it in a few years.

Casio G Shock. Have had it/them since the first day they came out. Never have used a cell phone to check time.
 
Wow. Participating in this thread jinxed me! My Swiss Army watch pooped out at 1150 today while on my way to a lunch meeting!

...but as I type it is getting a new movement. :laugh:

A "new movement" could even be interpreted as th' watch having politically oriented tendencies... but I know Basil would lock th' thread if THAT were th' case, err... bezel... :smirk:
 
If you drive a British car - of course you should wear a BRITISH watch:

Smiths W10 Military issue watch from 1967. And tells the right time at least twice a day! (Actually a very reliable and robust little timepiece).
 
I love watches. LBC driving watch is a Tag Formula 1.
For business it's mainly Tank style watches. They
don't tear up starched cuffs as much as most watches.
That Tag would eat a cuff a week.
Some Swiss Army stuff including a knife with a clock.
Several pocket watches, old and new.
Funky casual wrist watches.
Some are family heirlooms some were gifts and others
I've purchased.
I also really love old mantle cocks. Most of them are our family's clocks. I wind them each Sunday.
Check out the sundial wristwatch. :jester:
