Engine has the coolant tank mounted to the engine. Only the fuel injected cars came that way. It appears to have a very nice or even new 1980 plaid interior, which is different than the 81. It also appears to have a black dash with the light bezel above the radio from an early(77 and older) coupe. All of the TR8 verts came with a grey dash to cut down on solar glare. A problem noticed shortly after the first TR7 verts came out in late 79. If that truely is a black dash, someone went to a lot of trouble to change it out. That combined with the missing fuel injection could be an indication of a serious electrical issue or even a fire behind the dash. I've seen that issue before caused by hack radio installs and cats that got too hot when the car was set to warm up on a cold morning. All in all, the car looks to be in very good shape, and the price is very fair.

The car looks to have either a Huffaker or Harcourt open plenum intake and a 4 barrel carb with electric choke. Those intakes are expensive and usually only find there way onto engines with major internal mods. Also has an nice fuel pressure regulator and a Mallory duel point distributor. Wonder what else the PO spent money on.
