Is it difficult to replace the windshield washer hoses on a TR6?

mine are in kinda rough shape and seem to be plugged up any advice? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

That depends on how small your arms and your hands are. It also depends on what disassembled state the dash is already in.If it looks like the attached picture it is not to bad.

looks like i may be in trouble then, because the dash is assembled right now and all the gauges are presently working.
Not to mention, I dont have real small arms.

thanx for the advice /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif

I guess I could just carry a bottle of windex with me.........

Kodanja- By all means is a do able project. There will be some disassebly but my suggestion is make it a winter project and enjoy that beautiful Conn. summer in the TR.

I have heard of people using soft, green, ultra flexible aquarium air hose as replacement. Try to tie and over tape a string to the old tube when removing and reinstalling the new

Aquarium hose is what I used. Worked great for five minutes before the motor died. I use window cleaner and Rain-ex. Never could keep the fluid in the reservoir anyways.

That's a great point. I have an original oval bottle with a lucas motor on my resevoir, and when I push my still-functioning Clear Hooters switch, a trickle of fluid bubbles out of the jets. I assume that either the motor lacks enough "oomph" after all these years, or I have an air leak in the ancient tubing. Either way, the fact that it still makes noise and is able to push at least a few drops of fluid satisfies me that it works, and convinces me to leave it the heck alone!!!!!

Same with my wipers. They and the original Clear Hooters switch worked (on both speeds, I might add) on the 200 mile trip home when I bought the car -- torential rain the *entire* way, from mile one right on through to mile 200. That convinced me that they work, and I never plan on driving in the rain again, so I leave them alone too! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My original switch is also intermitten. Supposivly able to take apart and clean to fix.
