Washed my Midget today.

Looks good, really.
 
I would vote for getting it running and drive it for a while until you get any bugs worked out and then paint it. After it's painted, it's too easy to mess up the paint fixing the bugs.
 
I had considered that Jim. But that requires more patience than I have. The interior and exterior are stripped and that makes a good opportunity to do the work. If I get it drivable first I wouldn't want to take it back apart.
