Washed my Midget today.

I washed a couple years of dust off today and was encouraged by the result. Finally starting the body work.

The first photos are when I first saw the car. The ones below are from today.

Thanks Drew, If I can get it painted yet this fall I will have it ready for the road by spring.

Looks like it is painted to me. What color were you thinking of? Looks like you are almost done with it. You got the wiring sorted out and just need to put the carpet and seats in and the top on.

It has nicks and dents from 8 years of storage by the PO. And there was some work done that I want to go over. But it is getting closer to the end.

I would vote for getting it running and drive it for a while until you get any bugs worked out and then paint it. After it's painted, it's too easy to mess up the paint fixing the bugs.

I had considered that Jim. But that requires more patience than I have. The interior and exterior are stripped and that makes a good opportunity to do the work. If I get it drivable first I wouldn't want to take it back apart.
