Was a plane capt. on one of these, many years ago!

I'd missed a hop in an F-15 when they were still dressed in "Air Superiority Blue" with orange wingtips. Bumped out by my First Shirt, him saying "You'll get you chance soon enough. I'm about to retire." Never got that ride, was PCS'd to Ubon shortly after. Last performance aircraft ride was back-seat in an F-4, a "Photo Chase" mission (15 AUG 73, 8th TFW). Plenty of time in OV-10's though, great bird for aerial photo work! 👍

A ride in an F4 is certainly something though.
 
While I was in Fla I was at the Crestview Yellow River Airport. Got to sit with some retired Generals with stories of their Dad's flying the Corsairs during the War. Some stories.
 
I was once flying across Narragansett Bay when Ocean Approach warned me that there a couple of F -16s on my tail lining me up. I never saw them.
