Hi All,
So having owned a couple of Bugeye Sprites (yes, I know this is the forum for big Healeys), one aspect which has never been answered in the Terry Horler book (the Bible for Sprite history) , or by anyone else of knowledge of this issue. Bugeye (Frogeye) Sprites have a number stamped into the sheet metal on the engine side of the right footwell. As far as I know, it has never been determined if the number was stamped by John Thompson Motor Pressing (made the frame) or by Pressed Steel Company (made the body and assembled it to the frame). I was wondering if there is a contact person at the Warwick Healey Motor Company Archive who may be able to answer this question, not just for me, but for the entire Bugeye family. Thanks, Scott in CA
