Off Topic Warning--I'll Be Back

Just a warning that I'll be back. Just a matter of weeks. I lost years here, but all a part of life. Whole new beginning after my high school bride lost her battle with one of those dreaded diseases. So, after building a great garage back in 2010, I ended up selling the house, finding a way to retire, and the garage at my new house will be finished and "Triumph Worthy" by April. I'm excited. So many fine, talented people on this forum. Back in high school, my friends didn't get too excited by my TR4, but look how all our Triumphs stood the test of time, with Posts here outstripping others by far. Like all of us, we've seen some folks come and go, and we'll all go on missing some of the giants of this craft who aren't with us today. We'll always remember them, and the advice they shared. For me, a night owl, let me apologize in advance when your email or other alerts go off in the wee hours. That seems to be when I get stumped on something, and I always figure some guy in Australia or Belgium might actually answer if everyone else is asleep.

Anyway, engine rebuild starts back up in April, and I'm wanting badly to break in my new cam and hear that engine roar.

Take care, all (I know; maybe this belonged in the Pub of somewhere else)

Great to have you back on the forum, and the TR4 is a fine fine car. i learned to drive on one! Good luck with the engine rebuild. And sorry about the loss of your wife - I bet she is glad you are getting going again with the hobby and a new beginning.

Aloha

Dan

Welcome back! Sounds like your new garage will be just the thing to get your Triumph back up and on the road.
Post some pics of your progress. Sorry for your loss.

Hi Marc,

Welcome back!

Cheers,
Tush

Marc, I’m so sorry that your bride lost her battle and congratulations on building your new garage. Desert TR is alive and well and so is Jim’s memory.

Yow - sorry for the loss of your high school sweetheart. As someone who met my bride at 29, I am envious of all the extra years some of you got!

Looking forward to "joining" you on your engine rebuild and other projects!

Marc - Best of luck with the new garage and rebuild. I look forward to seeing both when in-person experiences resume. Did you get a lift yet?

Marc and I are on opposite schedules -- I think I get up in the morning about 3 hours after he goes to bed, but he is very considerate with the timing of his phone calls.
