As the father of two college aged sons, I can see the cultural differences here and be selfishly happy that it is not just my family! I'm glad to see that you have directed your enthusiasm toward the MG (as opposed to Jeeps...oh where did I go wrong...but that is another story) and I love the signature! LOL
I suggest you keep checking Ebay for your parts...I bet your dad would appreiate you finding a good deal on one, making it easier to pry as a birthday present from him.

I'm laughing because I was in a very similar situation. Not knowing how to do my engine work and having to wait til the right mechanic had time to take me.
Let's suffice it to say that I drove her anyway,..I had new allow wheels, my whole new interior and all of the shiny bits for after the big work was done BEFORE anything had been done to the car.
I know what it's like to have a new toy, and be impatient to have it look cool. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
On that note,..it also ended up costing a fortune. So, be careful!
Anyway,..here's the reason for my post. In one of my more classic moves, I ended up ordering double parts for alot of things, I never sent them back, cause I'm a dummy.
I have 2 LE spoilers, brand new, still wrapped. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I'm thinking of using one of them, but you're welcome to the second. You can have it, I have no use for it. I get free shipping because of my job, so you wouldn't need to worry about that either.

Welcome to this forum AGAIN Keenan. It appears that Basil doesn't mind previously banned folks coming back under new names, so have at it, man. Good for you! I just revived Keenan's old thread "Make it shine" from September '05 when he was actually driving down the road at 4:11 a.m. and typing posts to this forum at the same time and subsequently got banned from here. The revived post stood for about an hour until it was completely deleted by somebody...obviously a moderator. Strange. Very strange. I guess only the folks who remember all this will know the real background. Maybe that's for the best. Obviously bringing this back up embarrases somebody important, so I'll leave it alone now.

I deleted it - I just didn't see how it served a positive purpose - if I was wrong to do that, I apologize
...I vaguely remembered the incident & when someone PM-ed the thread to me it all came back...at the time back then, Basil thought it was a joker playing games...since then, those of us who have continued to read Keenan's posts have come to learn that they're from a kid who has no experience with cars & who's running so fast that he doesn't stop to think about what he's typing...I've also told Keenan we'll only allow bad spelling until it becomes distracting & I'll call him on everyone of the bad posts - privately (& I'll cut the ones that are too hard to understand)...
....Keenan's like a lot of us were at 16 or 17 - we were dreamers...I could always build a better car in my mind than my garage!
We'll see what happens with him this time...as I told him in a PM "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!"

It embarrasses me for one. That it was so important to revive that thread. Administration and moderators decided to give Keenan another chance - and that's good enough for me.
You just have to love the cars, remember?
