I know this may not be the place for this but since the classifieds are down I thought it was the next best place. I am looking for a rolling restoration project, little or no rust (especially on frame). Somewhere in the Southeast would be great but I will go wherever I need to go for the right car.

The first palce I'd try, would be the Yellow pages, to see if there are any "British friendly" garages in your area.Hang areound, these things turn up from time to time. Other spots, would be the Vintage Triumph Regester Classifieds and club web pages. Hemmings Motor news, at the local Barnes and Noble is another resource.
Good luck Bob

ebay as a last resort

Brent,
Were you at the Nashville British Car Show? Did I give the classifieds from the Huntsville Times?

Join a club. As mentioned before, there are people who know of or possibly have cars for sale.
Since you are looking for a project, a club is also an ideal place to get help or get hard to find parts.
I was never a club sort of person, but just like this site, everyone shares a common interest which makes it fun.

Saw a for sale notice on the bulletin board at the Roadster Factory showroom. Was a TR6 looked to be sanded to bare metal. Had a hardtop and minilites. Appeared to be an abandoned project car. Looked interesting in the color photos. Other details I cannot recall.

Maybe call TRF and ask for the phone # on that ad.

That was me...thanks for the info. I have spent a lot of time chasing cars that turned to be bigger projects than I am game for and probably missed a few good ones ( a beautiful '69 in Indiana) because I wasn't able to get there in time. The good ones go fast....see, I am learning:smile:. I am chasing 2 cars now, a '71 and a '74. If they don't work out this week I'll try this AL car. Thanks for the reminder.

I've got this one for sale:

I'm asking $11,000.00 It's not exactly a project car. It's finished, but could use a little TLC. PM me if you want more info.

Thanks

THANKS to everyone. I have secured a 71 that is in need of electrical repair, some cosmetics, and a fresh coat of paint...plus the 200 other things that I don't know that it needs yet! I'll post some pics once I pick it up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: Thanks

All RIGHT, Brent! Another mid-Tenn LBC'er. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the Nashville British Car Club - https://www.nashvillebritishcarclub.com/. Meetings are monthly (Christmas party this coming weekend), and there are monthly events as well.

I'm in Clarksville - let me know if you're ever up this way - I'm always up for coffee.

Mickey

OOPS! Just noticed your earlier post that you were at the show in October. Don't know if we met - I had the Black Tulip '73 MGB there. Anyway, congrats again!

Mickey

Re: Thanks

Don't think we'll make the party, - just got back from a trip to Florida, and have some serious make-up work to do. We'll catch up later.
