Let me know if you don't find one, I have several MGBs stored at mothers.

Marv

Any banjos Marv? You know what I need to convert mine over. I was told that only the early MGBs had the 3.9 banjo unless special ordered for a late MGA. I'm a babe in the woods on this one Marv, so any help I can get is welcome. Thank a bunch! PJ

Marv, Have you had the Healey out lately? You've gotta keep the cobwebs out. I still can't believe how beautiful that car is. PJ

I have a complete early MGB wire wheel diff here in Monroe NC. PM for details if its close enough for you to pick up. Bob

Bob,

I'd say you are closer to Paul than me.

Paul,

Haven't touched the Healey or Jag since right before Thanksgiving. We finished the house last week so I am going to be able to spend more time this year on my cars. I've got the 250 up on the lift right right now. Want to make it a driver for this spring.

Just let me know how this goes and I will help anyway I can.

Marv

When Paul is done with you guys, I'm looking for a complete banjo rear end for bolt-on wheels. Please shoot me an email if you have one!

One headed to Greenville SC this morning too, see ya soon Bob  Paul if Bob has a second one to sell, I'd still be interested in the second MGB banjo housing and you take the diff, having extra housing would not be a bad thing for me.

Note to anyone out there as well, I'm going to end up with two 3.9 diffs, and I would like to trade one for a 4.1 or 4.3, so I have a diff ratio for the race car for the tighter tracks as well as the 3.9 for the faster tracks, if any one say with a MGA would like to swap a 4.1 or 4.3 for a 3.9, lets talk.

Bob, You have a PM. PJ

Hap is taken care of, Paul has a pm and I may have a banjo steel wheel diff available soon. I need to sell the 3 main engine out of the car before I part the car. Right now it still can be built and put back into service. I just do not want to do it! Bob

Heading out to Bobs in Monroe this morning to pick up a rear. About a three hr ride. Be glad to get it home. PJ

Have a great time Paul.
Bob is one of the nicest fellows you will ever meet.
Tell him Dave (14DNA) said hello.

And be careful out there!

Dave :savewave:

P.S. no drooling over his collection of toys.

Well I picked up the rear and yes Bob is a very nice guy! It was a pleasure meeting him. The rear has two numbers stamped on the differential housing, they are 11 and 43. Assuming that this means 11 teeth on the pinion and 43 on the ring gear. How does this break down to an understandable ratio? PJ

I forgot to mention that Bob has a bunch of early MGBs and a ton of engines, among other things and a very nice GT driver. His place is MG heaven!

Got it! 11 into 43 = 3.909, Cool!
