Want To Set Up Shop?

Stockton is hot & dry, so not a bad place to keep cars stored outside. You can bet all the soft trim is perished though.

Ima-ogga-hiya-ooo-am-am-am oooooooooh! I WANT!!!
If only......
I'd have one kickin Triumph resto shop!!!!
Any sponsors/ investors? I can do the work.hehehehehe.

<business geek opinion on>

Been up there - neat place. A lot of work to turn it into an ongoing business. The car bodies are a very mixed lot, you'd mainly be looking at the mechanical bits in my opinion.

Locally well know shop however, and there is a lot of spares.

At $595k I can't see how it would be viable however.

Really impossible to render a sound buying decision with just the eBay info.

But, from what I can see, wishful thinking . . . :yesnod:

From the pictures and location this looks to be "Triumph's Only." I guess the owner decided to get out of the business.

Yes this is Triumph's only and it has been a lifelong business for the owner, I believe. I question marketing on E-bay however. He'll have a difficult time getting close to 10% of the asking price (500K). Parts sell on E-bay FAIRLY well......warehouses full of parts do not. Just my opinion, but I sure would love a day to just roam the lot! Maybe that's what he should be selling!

Wonder if they would take a 4th party check from South America for payment????

Ebay does not allow for the sort of time a transaction of that magnitude would take. I'm sure he'll find a buyer eventually, but not at what he's asking for. I wouldn't be surprised if the final price was in the 300k range rather than what he's looking for.

Ebay may not be the ideal venue, but look at the exposure he's getting for very little advertising dollars.

I mean, we're talking about it, and while I know it won't lead to a sale, I E-mailed the link to someone that's in the Triumph restoration business.

If I remember Correctly,he moved the shop from
San Jose to Stockton a few years ago.I'm thinking that
this is a retirement plan.
Ben,

Sell the house, quit your job,& move to Stockton.
I'm sure that the bank will accept an IOU.Just remember
that most of the businesses in Stockton have bars on the
windows.

Ahhhh, what a dream.

Then again for must of us we would probably want to try and restore most of the cars!

It could be viable, but as a non-business person if I had 600K lying around, I think I would be seriously contemplating retirement and driving my single GT6.

In the fifth photo down is my old TR3 that I sold to the owner 10 years ago.
