Want to dump IE-9. How?

How can I go back to IE-8? I'm tired of 9 doing it's own thing. It's constantly changing my home page and sometimes adds another search line on the top. It now seems to be buried deep in W-7. Any way to eliminate it? PJ

Control Panel>Programs> Uninstall.

As long as you don't have 7 or Vista, or even 8, IE8 works

Don't worry about trying to uninstall it, just don't use it. Personally I like Chrome...very speedy browser.
