Want to Borrow: Ark, Barge, or Pirate ship.

The latest from the Cedar Valley:

The mighty Cedar river is receding. We've had some rain, but apparently not enough to reverse the drainage - hooray!

Lots of flooding downtown and in Czech Village, but there seems to be minimal military presence(i.e. National Guard) and so far, no looting. There are some curfews in various areas of downtown, but most of what we get on the local news is positive: People here just want to dry it out, repair it, and get back to work.

Garry, you guys really have a mess, like I said earlier, it is hard to imagine the scope of the flooding. Saw some pics of homes in the river, so many lives being turned upside down.

Water is starting to go down here. Of course the damage becomes visible then. What I do not understand is the glut of fools that decided to try and drive through the area anyway. What they did not understand about "Road Closed" baffles me. Little towns all over were jammed with angry and confused people trying to find ways around the closed roads. Many were so lost that they had no idea where they were.
