Walter Middy At Road Atlanta

"The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" by James Thurber is a short story that revolves around a somewhat henpecked guy and his imaginary adventures. A good story to read. Also a great movie with Danny Kaye as Walter Mitty.

GT6,
Are you racing or watching? I plan to be there. I'll pitch my tent in the infield on the hill before turn 9. The track map shows Back stretch Camping on the other side of the track.

I won't have the TR6. Too much stuff to carry. I'll have a 9X12 rectangular tan canvas tent. I'll be driving a dark green 1993 GMC Jimmy, the S15 size. Stop by if you want. I'll probably get there late on Friday

Thanks, Bruce. Actually, I knew THAT; it is arguably one of the very best humorous short stories ever written!

My late father was one of the biggest fans James Thurber ever had. Dad had pretty much every book Thurber published and every issue of The New Yorker magazine in which a Thurber piece appeared!

I still want to know who "Walter Middy is! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Is that the same as the Harley guy that goes potato, potato, potato?

I'll be in the Paddocks with some friends, however my car is not ready to hit the track yet? My friend Jim Pheland will be racing his Datson, so we'll be there to support him and toast to him... I'll try and get to your tent on Saturday.
