Have always been a huge Steely Dan fan - 67 years is too young.

 
I know he hated the limelight, but Becker is hardly in that video above (of mostly Fagen).

He's in this one a bit more (playing bass), though this was an arguably different Steely Dan.

Having a wonderful Labor Day Weekend Dinner Party tonight on the beautiful Oregon Coast. Fresh Oysters, Salmon, and a bounty of fresh picked tomatos, corn and snap peas, partying to Steeley Dan. RIP WALTER BECKER, he'll be missed.

Learned about the death here, I am a huge Steely Dan fan, their music really seems to stand the test of time, and on a "hi fi" system the subtelties of various instrumental flourished in their music is truly impressive.

Indeed! Interestingly, we have a local Jazz radio station and they have been playing Steely Dan for a number of years now having re-catagorized their music. I can't disagree. You also hear more and more jazz artists covering Steely Dan tunes.
