There was a similar story in WSJ last weekend.

I'm still not convinced that Ganz has a "beetle" connection, with the preceding MaiKaefer, Standard-Superior, and Rumpler. But certainly see the VW connection.

Also interesting, and probably intentional: In German, the word Ganz means "quite" or "fully". So the "Ganz-Klein-Wagen" label has two meanings. Ganz's "small car", and "quite small car".

Sadly, that was not the only idea or property taken from the Jews at that awful time in German history.
 
Paul - that's for sure. I think just about *all* ideas and property were taken from them - citizenship and recognition as human beings, included - during those horrible ten years.
