The last Vulcan bomber flying will soon be grounded.

A plane that always looked like it was moving too slowly to fly, even a 600mph. On full throttle it wailed like a banshee and climbed at what seemed a impossible angle for such a beast. Always brought a lump of (British) pride to my throat when I saw that and the English Electric Lightening in action at airshows.

I thought the same thing Bas. That is a great looking bomber, it's sad to know that it won't be taking to the skies again.
 
Lots of money to keep it in the air.... That's British pounds by the way.

Have to admit the Brits built some very nice looking planes I love ones with the engines at the root of the wing.
remember the De Havaland Comet? Pretty airliner and the Vampire. All very cool.
