I am signed up for the VRG Turkey Bowl at Summit Point Thursday 11/24 thru Sunday 11/26. Will anyone else be there?

Best--Michael Oritt (Elva Courier)

I will be crewing for Steven Groh's Spitfire. It will be his first race in it. Therefore, it will probably need some sorting. Might need some assistance, as I am disabled and pretty much useless.

I'll be happy to help if needed--I'll be in a white Elva Courier--#82.

What a wonderful day today, high 60's and great cars. Here's Michael on his way to a win.

Preaty much useless??? Shoot, every crew needs a pit boss with smarts.

Dart, pretty cool looking side pipe on the Spit, did he get that car from a guy in the Hendersonville, NC area ?

Dale--

Great seeing you there and it was a sensational weekend. I appreciate the boost in position but actually I finished #2 to the 911 in Saturday's afternoon race (though he really shouldn't have been in our class and was only there because there were two guys sharing the car).

The intermittent missing returned in this morning's race on lap two and I was passed by the entire field but managed to remain in contact for about three laps until the miss cleared and I was able to overtake all but one Lotus (the Porsche DNF'd) and I got a second in that event as well.

Great time!

Michael- I consider the 911 an aberation and he doesn't count in the placings. What caused his DNF??

Dunno for sure but frankly I think he may have retired as a courtesy after a few laps as he was catching a lot of flack Saturday for picking on us small guys! The car is actively campaigned on the HSR circuit and was faster than heck.

It sure was fast, we had "unofficial" 1:35's for him Friday afternoon. But letting him run in your group was a dumb decision, and him wanting to run there was just an ego trip IMO. Hope we can see you run again in '07. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Mary said she had me at 1:46 on Friday and 1:42 on Saturday. I guess that's pretty good given the power disparity.

Best--Michael

Those are pretty much my times at SP in #11.
In the enduro, we both got #23 Sprite down to 1.38-1:39, but it has a more potent engine.
