Vredestein Tires

They will fit, although the sidewall height will be a bit lower that a 185/70R-15. With a treadwear rating of 700 you will find they age-out rather than wear-out.

Hi John, thanks- I agree on the age-out rather than wear-out, but I guess that is better anyway. On the size, if my math is right (which it may not be) it appears that will be a fraction over 1/4" lower. Is this right?

David - here's an online size comparison tool:

Tom M.

The diameter of the 185/65R-15 is shown in the specs is 24.4".
A Vredestein Sprint Classic in 185/70R-15 is 25.2". So the difference is 0.4" in height.
A Vredestein Sprint Classic in 165R-15 is 25.4". This is a close to the original size in a radial.

although diameter is very little difference, it is the circumference that adds up
185/65 R15 is 76.89 inches circumference
185/70 R15 is 79.13 inches Circumference
that is an difference of 2.5 inches (roughly per revolution) this will effect your speedo. unless you have a GPS speedo.

here is another choice for you.
Looks like they are all white walls.

I recently bought Pirelli P6000s in 185/70R-15 from Performance Tire. Price was good. They are much quieter than the Bridgestones that they replaced.

I used those tires on the BJ8 that I Just sold. You can't see the white stripe on the inside at all. The printing on the tire is on both sides.
