Voltage Regulator Install

So I've got the regulator I had ordered. However it's slightly different from the one I orignally had. Yes, they both have 2 wires, but where my old regulator had yellow and green wires, and grounded on the case, the new regulator has yellow and black wires, and came with two metal links (seen in the photo).

This photo isn't of mine, its from ebay, but reflects what I have.

I tried to follow this, grounding the black, yellow to that brush, and one link to another brush, but I have an extra metal link. Note this picture is for a 3 wire reg.

So as you may guess, I don't have instructions, and spring is approaching. Anyone ever put one of these in? Help!

Thanks in advance.
