Vixen 2500 - What’s this “T” on my Motor Mount

It must have a purpose because it’s bolted on.

It might just be a mounting bracket for something long gone, but…. It has an arrow on it…. Which was surprisingly, installed pointing to the rear of the car!

Maybe it held the strapdown Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) platform for the Lucas Nav System!

I decided to reinstate with an adjuster knob, so I can easily move it to any desired position!

i've seen stuff like that before to support wiring harnesses. generally not in metal tho... and i can't remember seeing one on a TR6. but it's been a few years. could look at my '71 tr6 down on the lower lot when i get home... which side was it on??

On the driver side.

I agree with GT, that it’s something that somebody stuck on there…. Probably not a stock part…

Both of the motor mounts have holes in them though… somebody just took advantage of them!
