Viva fever in BRITSH Columbia Canada

Hi People

I recently got hooked on Viva's when I was just surfing though craigslist (gotta stop doing that) and spotted 1969 Viva someones ex vintage race car.
Of coarse I had to have a look and of coarse drag it home. No engine or trans but it looks to have had Rotary power and the trans tunnel has been cut and a removable dog house install so the entire engine is behind the front axle. Datsun 510 rear suspension with 280ZX diff. Front and back of the car are real good but rockers and doors rough.

But you can never only have one...right?

Nice guy out in Alberta Canada had 2 HBs for sale both cars very solid as its nice and dry in Alberta so I scooped them both and should be able to make 2 out of 3.
Green SL is 1.6 slant 4spd and might end up on the street but the blue 1.2 auto will most likely be for parts.

Welcome to the BCF Lester! I've been around British cars for quite a long time and have never heard of a "Viva." I'll have to google it sometime. You did get a much wider variety of British cars in Canada than we did in the USA.

Just in case you're not aware, google All British Field Meet Vancouver (the event is in May each year), and you might also be interested in Classic Car Adventures based right there in Squamish.

Good luck and have fun!

Wow! welcome - great cars! I am the only other member of the forum with one (In Toronto) Mine is a GT so a little more rare. Glad to have you around. Here is mine

Hi JP

I've seen your GT on other sites and deffinitely motivation for me, I'm kinda glad I dont have a GT so I won't feel guilty about an engine swap and I'm not really an factory resto kinda guy.
When I brought the first Viva home I have friends that are SEASONED car guys and I stumped them all...It's a what from where?

Thanks Reid!

I see the Classic Car Adventures run every year but never realized it is actually organized from Squamish.

I don't blame you in terms of the swap - There are a few around with v8's try googling Viva outlaws if you haven't already

Welcome! I came across a Viva sales brochure in Montana.
It came from a Canadian dealer.
Not something you see every day.
