Hap--

I was at VIR this weekend and there was a red Mustang convertible racing with "ACME SPEED SHOP, VIRGINIA BEACH" written all over it. I think there was a "Since 1950" tagline included. Was this organization somehow connected to yours or is it simply someone else using the same name?

BTW I was racing the MK IV in group 2--my second time out since last year's big crash. In the feature I finally began getting comfortable with the car--the brakes are simply awesome and it seems to handle very nicely. On a few occasions I was able to easily outbreak fast guys into turn 1 and lead them around to the Oak Tree but would inevitably get sucked up on on the straights and have to do it all over again. With the 1220 engine I probably should have been in group 1 (GM) but I guess they had a full roster.

I blew a differential on the last lap of the feature so need to replace that. Does anyone have an open 4.88 spridget unit they would like to part with?

Michael, not me, I seen that car before too. back in 2001, we picked that name for the shop, for couple of reasons, one being I'm a Wile E. Coyote fan, and the other being we could get the domain name for the website. As you know I strictly MG and Triumph stuff, I've done the V8 thing in my past, and have interest in it anymore. There a few Acme Speed Shops out there that have also cropped up in recnet years, a hot rod shop in MN, and some hot rod guys in CA, that are all artist and make some really cool t shirts and hats, they are pretty cool guys, they sent me a T shirt.
